OVS
The distributed optical fiber vibration sensing system (OVS) is a device which can conduct real-time and continuous measurement for optical fiber vibration. When the optical fiber undergoes vibration at a certain position, it will lead to the change of the phase for Rayleigh scattering at that position, and the system can accurately obtain the spatial vibration intensity, frequency and position information by demodulating the detected Rayleigh scattering light, which can be widely used in optical cable identification; external damage monitoring of cable trench, municipal pipe, oil and gas pipeline; icing of overhead lines, wind deflection monitoring, perimeter security and other scenarios.
